Enterprise e-commerce platform with robust backend authentication (NextAuth), headless CMS integration (Sanity) and server-side data fetching for scalable product management.

The challenge

Completely replace an outdated WordPress platform with a modern, scalable backend architecture optimised for e-commerce conversion.

What we did

E-commerce backend with Next.js API routes and NextAuth for secure session-based authentication and role-based user management. Sanity CMS as the data warehouse for inventory, pricing and content, with real-time synchronisation via webhooks. Server-side rendering and incremental static regeneration for SEO and performance. Paid campaigns on Google fed from the Sanity catalog, measured against orders and not against clicks. Transactional email infrastructure with Resend for order confirmations and customer notifications.

The result

WordPress, the biggest risk in the business, is no longer part of it. The team changes prices and stock in the Sanity panel and the product page updates on its own; order confirmation emails go out with no intervention; and pages are indexed with the real information, up to date. The Google campaigns run off the same catalog, so a price or stock change reaches the campaign without touching the site. What used to mean touching the website is now something anyone with a panel can do.
